User privacy data: Enhancing User Experience with the Privacy Authorisation Process
This project aims to improve the user experience of Harmony OS, focusing on the privacy authorization process. As concerns about data security grow, simplifying and streamlining the process has become essential. We analyzed the existing workflow, reduced complexity, improved transparency, and ensured privacy compliance.
As a UX designer, I worked closely with product managers and stakeholders to define requirements and design goals. I led user research, refined prototypes, and iterated based on feedback, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions. Our efforts resulted in improved user satisfaction, greater trust in the product, and an overall better user experience.
This experience optimisation initiative has enhanced users' sense of control and trust, becoming one of the product's key competitive advantages.
Following its successful implementation, this design became one of the system's core functionalities, achieving coverage of 10 million users. Data indicates that the average time taken by users to locate and manage privacy settings decreased by one-third, with user satisfaction increasing by about 15%. Furthermore, customer service enquiries regarding privacy settings saw a significant reduction of 20%.
